Annual Fall Updates since 1989
2010 has been another busy year for Wildlife Fawn Rescue. The beginning of the year brought our Open House to the Kenwood Depot. Our displays and video informed our guests of the vital work that we have done over the years. Thanks to all those who attended.
Once again we participated in the Farmers Market in Santa Rosa this summer. We are grateful to our volunteers who were involved. It was a great opportunity to get the word out to the public that there is a resource for local fawns. There is someone they can call.
We have once again been enrolled in the Nickels for Nonprofits program at the Whole Foods Market in Sonoma. We appreciate their willingness to help us earn some extra nickels! Oliver's Market Community Card is helping us earn extra money. Once you sign up for the card Fawn Rescue will receive a percentage of your total purchases generously donated by Oliver's. Please see the back page for details.
I attended a wildlife conference held by CCWR (California Council for Wildlife Rehabilitators). It is important for us to keep current with wildlife rehabilitation information, especially when it pertains to the safety and welfare of fawns.
We have a number of new vets that have signed on to treat ill and injured fawns. This helps tremendously in getting them the attention they need quickly. From Cloverdale to Sonoma to Sebastopol we now have caring, knowledgeable professionals ready to assist.
If you have questions or concerns about Sonoma County deer or fawns please do not hesitate to call. We are here for you and them 7:00 am to 7:00pm seven days a week.
